Why do I need to run three tanks of fuel to determine my vehicles fuel mileage?
There are a number of factors that effect real world fuel economy: weather conditions, driving conditions, etc. We have found that an accurate average is obtained after running three tanks of fuel.
My vehicle is equipped with a fuel economy computer. Can I use it?
We have found that the computers are not always accurate and often need to be reset. In most cases, over time, the computers will indicate a higher reading with the ECO System installed. For testing purposes we recommend you follow the ECO Systems testing procedure. The ECO Systems testing procedure is as follows:

1. Before the ECO System is installed run (3) three full tanks of fuel. Check each time you fill up to determine what your fuel economy is (MPG). For example, after you fill up for the first time write down your current odometer reading, then on your second fill up write down the the new odometer reading. Also note the amount of fuel (Example 9.45 gallons) used to fill up. Then take the second reading and subtract the first reading. This will give you the total miles used on that tank of fuel.

Example (2nd reading) 21,000 - (1st Reading) 20,700. Total miles driven is 300 miles.

Then take the number of units of fuel needed to fill your tank divided into total miles driven. Example: 300 miles divided by 20 gallons makes the average 15 mpg.

Do this procedure 2 more times and average all three numbers. Example (1st) 15 mpg, (2nd) 16 mpg, and (3rd) 15 mpg. Add all 3 numbers and divide by 3. This brings the average for all 3 fill ups to 15.33 mpg.

2. After installing the ECO System, fill up your vehicle and note the starting odometer reading then follow the same procedure as above. You should see a 10% or greater improvement in fuel economy. For example, if your vehicle averaged 10 mpg without the ECO System, you should be getting 11 mpg or greater using the installed ECO System. You would then have a 10% improvement in fuel economy!
My vehicle gets 350 miles to a tank of fuel. Can I use that as an average?
We respectfully ask that you follow the ECO Systems testing procedure to accurately determine the fuel economy benefits of the ECO System. The testing procedure can be found under the FAQ, "My vehicle is equipped with a fuel economy computer. Can I use it?"
My vehicle can use the E85 fuel. Can I use it with the ECO System?
ECO Systems Fuel Enhancer's have not been tested with E85. Do not use the device or the installation kits with ethanol fuel.
Should I use the same gas station and octane?
Yes, our experience has shown that there is sometimes a difference in fuel economy achieved from one provider to the other. We recommend using the same fuel and octane rating during the test. Ever notice when filling up at some gas stations that the area is not level? For this reason and for testing purposes, you should not only use the same gas station but also the same gas pump. Additionally, we recommend you top off your gas tank in the early morning hours especially during summer months. During the summer months, as temperatures heat up, gasoline expands, just like most liquids, providing less energy per gallon.
Are there any other factors that could affect the test?
Yes, try to maintain the same driving habits throughout the test, such as speed, etc. Make sure you are not adding or decreasing weight at any point. Also, it is important to maintain proper tire pressure. Make sure your oxygen sensor, down stream oxygen sensor, and coolant sensor are in good condition.
Do you have different types of installation kits?
Yes, we have several different types of installation kits to adapt to your vehicle. Descriptions of each are located in our online store. If you are having trouble deciding which installation kit you need, please email us by the use of our contact form providing your vehicle make, model, year and engine size so we can advise you of the proper installation kit.
How does the ECO-SYSTEMS FUEL VAPOR ENHANCER WORK?
A retrofit fuel line device that increases the volatility (ability to vaporize) of any petroleum based fuel, causing it to burn more efficiently and completely in the engine.

The device consists of a small steel tube with a copper mesh insert. These inserts do not impede fuel flow or affect fuel pressure. As the fuel passes through the device, it is agitated. This process releases the hydrocarbon bonds creating a more readily combustible fuel.
How long has this product been around, and why haven’t I heard of it?
ECO Fuel Systems Vapor Pressure Enhancers were patented in 1993 and have been sold since November of 1998. If this is the first time you have ever heard of ECO Fuel Systems or Vapor Pressure Enhancers, you are not alone. Until late 2005 when a news stations around the country started doing investigative news reports, our product was unknown to most people. Besides that, up until recently, most people haven’t had the concern that they now do about fuel economy and keeping the planet green. Thank You for caring!
What are the other benefits of installing the ECO-SYSTEM FUEL VAPOR ENHANCER?
Lower fuel consumption, reduced emissions, increased engine power, and less engine hesitation are just a few benefits of installing the unit. Also, when fuel burns more completely, you have lower maintenance costs due to reduced carbon buildup, cleaner fuel injectors, and less carbon passing into the oil.
Will it work on any vehicle?
The units will work on ALL INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE APPLICATIONS, including but not limited to, Passenger cars and trucks, RV’s, 18 Wheelers, Commercial vehicles, Forklifts, Motorcycles, Lawn Mowers, Cranes, Loaders, Bulldozers, Farm Tractors, Boats, Buses and Motor homes.
How much can I expect to save on fuel?
You can expect to save an average of 10 to 12% on fuel costs.
How much will it change my emissions?
Most are reducing emissions by an average of 40%.
How difficult is the unit to install?
Although it is not difficult to install, the ECO-SYSTEMS FUEL VAPOR ENHANCER must be installed by a licensed Technician, this insures safety. Click here to find a local dealer.
Has the product been tested?
Besides US Testing Company (Reid Vapor Pressure) and Wallace Labs Emissions, testing has been done by many trucking companies, car dealerships, municipalities, and government vehicles including, school buses, trolleys, police cruisers, fire trucks, & ambulances. The results have been extremely positive, saving thousands and thousands of dollars. ECO-SYSTEMS FUEL VAPOR ENHANCER was also recently tested by NASA at the White Sands Test Facility in New Mexico; the results were so favorable that they have started retrofitting their fleet.
